Deep down in the DNA of our bodies we all know the truth about the male/female dance and the transformative power of pure sexual energy. It's part of our hardwiring. What is this Truth? Sexual polarity is at the root of Life, Love, and our most intimate relationship with Spirit. In the beginning the One mysteriously becomes the two; male and female are born. From this first impulse of duality, the whole universe of interconnected opposites arises. Polarity reinforces both the feeling of separateness and attraction, which we experience as sexual chemistry. At one level, this sexual polarity is connected to survival; however, at a more subtle level it serves as a kind of honing device, pointing us back to the One. This is The Secret of the Sexual Dance. As we learn to consciously--reverently--open into the sexual impulse, like a mirror it can reflect back to us our original face.

The truth is that in deep, meditative, sexual embrace a doorway to the Beloved, the One, is opened, and a sacred opportunity for healing the primal roots of our separation is born. At the most sublime moments of sexual embrace we lose our sense of separateness. Unity is restored. This is the diamond of sharing deep, heartfelt intimacy. We are literally booted out of our minds and returned to the essence of love resting in our spiritual hearts.

Thus, the Secret of the Sexual Dance is that it offers us a direct opportunity of returning to the supreme innocence of our Source. It shows us that at our origin we are pure, unadulterated Love. That in the heart of every woman is Love. And that in the heart of every man is also Love. In this dance, however, it is woman who is most closely attuned to the vibration of love. She is, thus, the doorway to the Divine. In sexual communion the male is required to release the egoic preoccupations of achievement, self-gratification, general selfishness, and early ejaculation, and insteadservethe Feminine energy. We call this honoring the Feminine. And it is only by honoring and serving his mate that the doorway to the Beloved opens for both. As the male approaches the feminine with honor and reverence any wounds held in her heart from prior association with males begin to heal and again she is able to receive the love of the masculine. In opening again to the masculine she is reunited with her original nature and she experiences her Divinity. Now she pours her immense Shakti (Divine Energy) into him, and together they enjoy the deep presence of the Beloved. Giving and receiving at this level are one; both hearts are healed in the dance. Together, man and woman once again realize their Divine potential. Women are like God in that whatever is given them in the spirit of love and generosity is returned exponentially.

It takes a very humble, courageous male to submit to the Shakti of a woman in love with God, to continue opening in reverence to her mysteries, and surrender up the need to control and manipulate out of fear of annihilation.

The secrets of the sexual dance are unlimited and, finally, only shared amongst lovers of God that know that there is no greater expression of God's love than the deeply erotic, devotional love between lovers. It is a cause for celebration!
